Social Events

Two receptions will take place at ICASSP-99, in the evenings of Monday and Wednesday. On Monday the Welcoming Reception will help to kick off the conference. On Wendesday, conference attendees can socialize during the Post-Session Reception.

This year's banquet is strictly for fun. It will be held at the Rawhide Resort and Western Theme Town where food and drinks will be served under the starry nights of Arizona. A quick-draw contest and fireworks are also part of this extraordinary banquet.

There are two coffee breaks: one in the morning after the Plenary Lectures, and one in the afternoon after the first Technical Sessions.

This year's tours are provided by Southwest Discovery Tours. In addition to Half-Day, and Full-Day sight-seeing tours, they also offer Pre and Post Conference tours to Northern Arizona (Sedona/Grand Canyon, ...). It is definitely worth it!
