Downtown Phoenix Street Map

Conference Logo

Downtown Phoenix is arranged on a Cartesian grid. The origin is at the intersection of Central Avenue and Washington Street. Roadways running north-south are generally numbered (Central is an exception); numbered "Avenues" are west of Central and numbered "Streets" are east of Central (note 1st Ave and 1st Street on the map). Addresses on these roadways are "North" if they are north of Washington Street and "South" otherwise. Similarly, addresses on the named east-west roadways are "West" or "East" depending which side of Central they are on. Example: 241 East Monroe is on Monroe between 2nd and 3rd Streets. The area pictured is about 700x700 meters.

A higher quality version of the street map below can also be downloaded as a Postscript or as a PDF file.
